Glasgow weather as Coldplay set to perform second gig in Hampden Park tonight

Coldplay are set to play for a second night tonight after a stellar performance last night.

The band, famous for hits such as Fix You and Yellow, performed at Scotland's national football stadium and although people heading to the concert will be feeling excited as they countdown the moment until the band takes centre stage, people who are heading to the area have been issued a warning of heavy traffic which expected due to road restrictions and closures.

There are a few roads that will be closed and/or restricted due to the event. You can read all about the road closures here or read how to get to and from the gig here.

The gigs are part of their 'Music of the Spheres' world tour, named after their latest album which features one of their most well-known songs, Higher Power.

So if you're going to see them live in Glasgow tonight and are wondering what the weather is set to be like, here's what you need to know.

Tonight's weather (August 24) should hold up with the concert doors set to open at 5pm with H.E.R kicking off the show. Once Coldplay come on stage, it should still be dry. Forecasters have predicted a dry evening with less than a five per cent chance of rain.

Discussing the weather, BBC Weather have said: "This evening will be dry with plenty of late sunshine. Overnight, it will remain dry and widely clear but a few areas of cloud may drift in at times. A cooler night than of late."
