Glasgow traffic disruption as lorry transporting bales of hay gets stuck under railway bridge

A lorry transporting bales of hay has become wedged under a Glasgow railway bridge - sparking traffic disruption.

The incident took place this afternoon at the bridge on Bearsden Road in the Anniesland area near to the Forth & Clyde Canal.

A passenger in a vehicle turning left onto Bearsden Road from Temple Road captured footage of the lorry stuck under the bridge on the inside lane as cars heading towards the Switchback navigate their way around it.

The footage shows the driver's cabin of the lorry having passed through the bridge with bales of hay in the front and middle section firmly wedged under it, with bales of hay lying on the outside of the northbound lane road as a result of the collision.
