The M73 motorway outside Glasgow has been closed due to a vehicle fire.
Traffic Scotland took to Twitter to issue an alert to drivers of the closure southbound between J3 (Mollinsburn) and J2A (Gartcosh), a few miles north east of Glasgow.
All traffic is being held at present and all emergency services are in attendance at the scene.

Traffic information site INRIX report that congestion is tailed back to the M80, with delays also present on the northbound carriageway of the M73.
Police Scotland have been contacted for more information.
