Glasgow to Stansted Easyjet passengers met by police on landing after 'mask row'

Two passengers on an Easyjet flight from Glasgow to Stansted were escorted by police after 'disruptive behaviour' while on board.

Essex police confirmed they were called out to escort the passengers upon their arrival at the London airport following an altercation on board over "mask wearing".

Easyjet flight EZY82PG arrived at Stansted airport just before 8.30PM on Sunday February 13, having left Glasgow around an hour earlier.

A spokesperson for the airline told Glasgow Live the passengers were "behaving disruptively on board".

They added that they "do not tolerate abusive behaviour on board".

It is not clear if the passengers were arrested.

A spokesperson for Easyjet told Glasgow Live: “EasyJet can confirm that flight EZY216 from Glasgow to Stansted yesterday evening was met by police on arrival in Stansted due to two passengers behaving disruptively on board.

"While such incidents are rare, we take them very seriously and do not tolerate abusive behaviour on board. The safety and wellbeing of our passengers and crew is our highest priority.”

Essex police have been contacted for further comment.
