Glaswegians are set to come together later today for a city centre demonstration to show their support for Ukraine exactly one year on from Russia's invasion.
The event has been set up by a local group, Community of Ukrainians in Glasgow, and is set to begin at 3.30pm today Friday, February 24, at George Square.
A procession will then make its way through the city centre at 5.30pm, with 141 people confirmed to be attending so far.

The event was created on social media, with the description reading: "To mark the one-year anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the Association of Ukrainian in Great Britain Glasgow Branch is organising a demonstration and procession to highlight the ongoing brutality perpetrated by Russia against our peaceful and democratic nation.
"On 24th February 2022, Russia invaded Ukraine without reason or provocation. Since then they have cause immeasurable damage to our homeland and killed hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian civilians including families and children.
"For one year, Ukraine has fought heroically to defend itself and Europe against this terrorist state that is Putin’s Russia. And we will prevail. But we need your support.
"We call upon the people of Glasgow for your much needed moral support.
"Please join us on 24 February 2023 at 3.30 for a demonstration followed by a march through the city centre."
