A man got the fright of his life after having an unexpected near miss in the less-than-tropical surroundings of Glasgow's Kelvingrove Park - with a colourful parrot.
Glasgow TikToker The Scottish Firefighter shared a video of the hilarious incident on the social network, having visited the popular west end park amid the sunny weather.
The video shows him strolling across the spot known locally as 'Cider Hill' without a care in the world before the parrot appears to be flying straight towards his napper.

Following a proclamation of "Oh f***" after being frightened by the sight of the parrot heading his way, the bird changes direction at the last moment and flies off to his left.
The TikToker shared the video along with the caption: "The famous Kelvingrove Park parrot! Safe to say I got a bit of a fright!"
One person who watched the video commented: "Ahh that’s Diego he’s usually at whiteinch park with his owner".
Another wrote: "I would have died right there."
And a bemused - or amused - third commented: "Whose parrot was that?"
