Glasgow temperatures this week as Met Office says more snow to come as winter conditions worsen

It's true, winter is officially here with people waking up to not just frost, but snow too.

And with the colder season upon us, the Met Office has been predicting some less than warm temperatures.

People across the city have been taking more caution as they take to the roads with people being warned about common mistake they could be making.

Just recently drivers have been warned that an oversight many people forget about before hitting the road is all to do with how you dilute screenwash - which should always be topped up. However some may forget you need to change the dilution ratio depending on the time of the year.

It comes as motorists are 20 per cent more likely to be involved in a car accident during wintry conditions, and with this in mind, it has never been more important to prioritise safety

So what temperatures can Glasgow expect over the next week? Here's what the Met Office predicts.

When will it snow in Glasgow

According to Accuweather, snow for Glasgow is forecast on the following days:

  • December 16
  • December 17
  • December 18
  • December 19
  • December 26
  • December 27
  • December 28
  • December 31

Glasgow five day weather forecast - temperatures

This week starts off pretty chilly but it will warm up, you'll be glad to know, with the highest temperature set to happen on Sunday with 5C.

The Met Office has said that this week will see the following temperatures:

  • December 13: Highs of -3C and lows of -4C
  • December 14: Highs of 0C and lows of -3C
  • December 15: Highs of 1C and lows of -4C
  • December 16: Highs of 3C and lows of 0C
  • December 17: Highs of 4C and lows of 1C
  • December 18: Highs of 5C and lows of 1C

Is there any weather warnings for Glasgow?

Currently there are no weather warnings set in place for Glasgow by the Met Office. There are however yellow warnings in place for parts of Scotland for snow and ice for areas in the north-east.
