Glasgow teen in 'serious' condition in hospital after being stabbed in street attack

Detectives are appealing for information after a teenager was stabbed in Glasgow's east end.

A 16-year-old boy was attacked between 9pm and 10pm on Dalmarnock Road near to Muslin Street in the Bridgeton area last night (Sunday).

The victim was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment to stab wounds.

Medical staff describe his condition as serious but stable.

Detective Constable Sarah Steven from Shettleston CID said: "Enquiries are at an early stage to establish exactly what happened and I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the assault, or noticed anything suspicious, to contact us.

“Anyone with information should contact Police Scotland via telephone number 101, quoting incident number 3650 of 27th March 2022.

"Alternatively, calls can be made anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
