Glasgow Subway is shut today as modernisation work continues to be carried out on the transport network.
The closure allows contractors to work intensively on the installation of cabling and equipment within the tunnels.
Workers are putting in new signalling and communication systems for the modern trains. The shutdown also allows for the strengthening of the platforms in preperation for the platform screen doors.
