A Glasgow street has been taped off by police following the "sudden death" of a woman.
Cops raced to Eccles Street in the city's north after being alerted to the incident shortly after 8am on Wednesday, January 29.
The force said it was called to the area following the sudden death of a woman.
Her death is currently being treated as unexplained.
Meanwhile, the Scottish Ambulance Service confirmed they were also called to the incident.
An ambulance and a paramedic response unit were sent to the scene.
In a post on social media, several police vehicles and an ambulance could be seen parked on the street.
The area has also been taped off by police while investigations are carried out.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 8.25am on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, we were called to Eccles Street, Glasgow following the sudden death of a woman.
"Her death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.”
A spokesperson for the SAS added: “We received a call at 8.16am to attend an incident on Eccles Street, Glasgow.
"An ambulance and paramedic response unit were dispatched to the scene.”
