Glasgow street locked down after couple seriously assaulted in Haghill

A couple had to be rushed to hospital after being attacked on a street in Haghill.

Emergency services were called to a report of a serious assault of a 38-year-old and 33-year-old woman on Corsock Street between 10pm to 10.25pm on Wednesday (February 16).

The pair were rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment while the street was cordoned off by officers.

Police enquiries into the incident are ongoing.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "“Police received report of the serious assault of a 38-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman which occurred on Corsock Street in Glasgow between 10pm and 10.25pm on Wednesday, 16 February, 2022.

“The man and woman were both taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment and enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”
