A yellow weather warning for thunderstorms has been issued for Glasgow this bank holiday Monday.
The city has been hit with a day of unseasonable weather, including heavy rain, with thunderstorms and hail predicted for tonight.
The Met Office has now issued a yellow alert, warning that "heavy showers, with a chance of thunderstorms, may lead to localised disruption."

It continues: "Heavy showers, some perhaps thundery with a chance of hail in a few spots, are expected to move eastwards across parts of Scotland this evening. Rainfall totals of 15 to 30 mm is possible in an hour or two in a few places."
The warning will come into effect from 5pm this evening, remaining in place until 11pm with residents warned to prepare for some localised flooding and disruption to travel.
While temperatures will remain warm in the city today at around 17 degrees, the day will remain rainy and misty for much of the day, with heavier rain, alongside hailstones set to arrive at around 8pm.
People living in areas affected by the warning have been told to expect the following:
- Some flooding of a few homes and businesses likely, leading to some damage to buildings or structures
- Probably some damage to a few buildings and structures from lightning strikes
- There is a good chance driving conditions will be affected by spray, standing water and/or hail, leading to longer journey times by car and bus
- Delays to train services are possible
- Some short term loss of power and other services is likely
