Glasgow's latest seafood restaurant has opened with Fat Lobster welcoming in customers for the very first time.
Located in the former home of the much-loved Mussel Inn on Hope Street - which closed its doors during the pandemic - the new venture, from the team behind popular city centre drinking den Tabac aims 'to bring a relaxed, refined and diverse approach on seafood to the city centre'.
Pictures shared on social media in recent days have teased what Glaswegians can find at Fat Lobster, whetting the appetite for a first visit.

And speaking to Jazz Harrabi, Social Media & Brand Manager for Tabac, Fat Lobster and the secret bar The Grow Room, about the exciting new opening, she told Glasgow Live what people can expect on the menu:
"We'll have buttered brioche lobster rolls, satay octopus, varied small plates, bright and tasty salads and top class desserts.
"With an in-house bakery, you can ensure every detail of this menu will be as fresh as the concept.
"Our head chef is inspired by many different things from all walks of life, one of his main inspirations being the South West of France and their casual approach to dining. With his travels and his impressive catalogue of kitchen stunts combined, we believe we have really created something special and unique, to be enjoyed by everyone."
But it's not just about the seafood, with a diverse drinks offering being one of the big attractions at Fat Lobster.
Jazz said: "Our Director of Mixology, Mick Quinn, has produced yet another addicting menu. He hasn't steered too far from his style of menu that you know and love within TABAC, our sister venue, with Jungle Bird riffs and new takes on the Classic Negroni, rest assured our drinks offer lives up to the hype.
"Alongside a perfectly curated organic wine and drinks list, there is something for everyone here at Fat Lobster."
It's a new food spot we're certainly very excited to try!
Fat Lobster is found at 157 Hope Street, in the heart of Glasgow city centre. The opening hours are Tuesday - Thursday - 12-10, Friday - Saturday - 12/10 and Sunday - 12-10.
