Sam Smith fans in Glasgow have taken to social media to wish the singer a speedy recovery following the news they are on vocal rest and cannot perform at the OVO Hydro tonight (May 25) as planned.
However, while understanding their health comes first, others have also taken to sites such as Twitter to vent their frustrations with this being the second Glasgow gig the singer has cancelled with tonight's concert having been April's rescheduled gig.
It comes as the Unholy singer's Manchester gig ended suddenly last night (May 24) after they performed just three songs with the 31-year-old revealing that something was 'really wrong' with their voice.

A statement from Sam Smith and their team, also uploaded to Sam's Instagram stories reads: "Due to vocal issues during last night’s Manchester performance, regrettably we will be cancelling the rescheduled Birmingham and Glasgow Sam Smith shows."
A spokesperson added: “Doctors have advised due to a vocal cord injury, Sam must have complete vocal rest.
"Sam is heartbroken to have had to cancel these shows but they have been told by doctors that if they keep singing, they will do permanent damage to their voice. If they take some rest, they will be able to perform again.”
Taking to Twitter to have their say one said: "I understand the fans' disappointment and sadness but this is not Sam's fault, please be kind with them. I can't imagine how hard would be for them not to be able to do what they were born to."
Another added: "Sam my daughter has been waiting for months for this. After the last let down last month, how can u do this. You said you were ill then travelled Europe."
"I’m so gutted, rescheduled and then cancelled. I have been excited ever since I got tickets last year" tweeted a third.
Meanwhile a fourth said: "Ouch hope they will be ok."
