A restaurant that first welcomed in customers at the start of this year has been met with a series of rave reviews, leading it being deemed Glasgow's top-rated steak place.
As we reported at the beginning of 2022, the Meat Joint Steakhouse opened its doors in January on Sauchiehall Street.
And, owing to scores of satisfied diners, its now considered the second best restaurant in the whole of the city, just behind the famous Fanny Trollopes, which scoops first place in the TripAdvisor rankings.

Announcing the new opening at the start of the year, the team behind Meat Joint said: "We are a family-run Scottish Steakhouse and fine dining experience, with locally sourced produce and meat!"
Their menu, which can be viewed here, includes several cuts of Aberdeen Black Angus meat, including Cote de Boeuf, Fillet, Sirloin and the ‘Butler Steak’, as well as Chateaubriand and Tomahawk steaks.
Meanwhile, Meat Joint is also serving up Sunday roasts, with a fillet of beef or roast chicken and all the trimmings, for £18 per person or £9 for kids.
And it's been so popular that from 85 reviews left on the travel review site, 83 have given the restaurant the 'excellent' five stars, with the remaining two deeming it 'very good' with four stars.
Following a recent visit, one customer said: "Just unreal how good this was. Had the rib-eye with red wine and bone marrow sauce. It was exceptional and easily one of the best steaks I’ve ever eaten. Worth every penny."
Another added: "Service is warm and friendly, menu is good with something for most tastes. Then there’s the food, superb! Possibly the best steak I’ve had in a long time! Perfectly cooked, full of flavour and nicely presented.
"Would definitely recommend a visit."
A further review hailed Meat Joint's steak as 'the best ever' and said: "Wow what a fabulous restaurant. Amazing food, amazing service.
"Thank you for a wonderful evening, even if I was feeling a little underdressed."
"Couldn’t fault anything."
And it appears the Sauchiehall Street eatery has been attracting tourists as well as locals.
One guest, from Iceland, was also impressed. They said: "We have been here few days ago to eat at the steakhouse and it was magnificent, the best I had in my life.
"Top restaurant in Glasgow, great meal and service. Steaks are astonishing. And the duck liver...
"I am coming back if I will be again in Scotland."
Meanwhile, one person even suggested Meat Joint Steakhouse could be the third Glasgow restaurant to be given a Michelin star alongside Cail Bruich and Unalome.
Their feedback said: "What's not good about this family-owned restaurant? Absolutely nothing. The food is great the staff are excellent and the over all ambiance is perfect.
"Don't go to chain restaurants folks, this family-run business is well above average.
"Where are you Michelin Guide?".
It's definitely one to add to your list if you've still to take a visit.
