The top Scottish chef behind one of Glasgow's most popular restaurant chains has just announced he is set to add a third site for the city.
Nico Simeone, the successful Scottish-Italian chef behind Six By Nico, has opened ten restaurants in Scotland, England, and Ireland and confirmed he'll soon be bringing his eleventh to the west end.
Set to open on February 27, Six by Nico Byres Road will be found at the former record store Fopp, which closed three years ago and will follow in the footsteps of his Six by Nico restaurants in Glasgow, Edinburgh, London Canary Wharf, and Dublin, and will feature the "carefully curated and constantly evolving tasting menu" the brand has become known for.

With a revolving, seasonal dining experience, the new site will follow the Six By Nico ethos of offering a brand new six-course tasting menu every six weeks with themes based on a different place, memory, or idea.
The 52-capacity restaurant is set to excite diners in the popular west-end destination known for its top food scene.
Since opening in Finnieston in 2017, Six by Nico now has locations in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester, Liverpool, London Fitzrovia, London Canary Wharf, Belfast, Dublin and with their most recent opening, in Aberdeen.
Speaking about the latest plans, chef Nico Simeone, who confirmed they also hope to expand more across the UK and even the UAE in the near future, said: "We are thrilled to bring a third restaurant location to Glasgow. Expansion in the city where our concept began is a significant step in our plan to grow further this year.
"We have quickly built an enthusiastic base of repeat customers in Glasgow, as well as an incredibly loyal customer base. We are excited to introduce a new restaurant design to both returning and new customers."
