An Irish food reviewer has gone viral after labelling the chicken kebab from Glasgow's Shawarma King one of the best he's ever had.
The reviewer who goes by the moniker TodyWeAreMaking flew all the way over from Ireland, posting a TikTok that he'd heard that the King Street eatery had been named the Best Kebab shop in Scotland two years running.
The clip, which has had over 62,000 views, sees the reviewer standing under the famous rail bridge as he explains that he booked the "first flight to Glasgow" after hearing Shawarma King had retained its crown for 2023 after winning in 2022.
Joking that they attempted to do the review on a Saturday night but had to give up because of the queues, the team returned on Sunday morning (there was still a big queue) to get their hands on the special kebabs.

They said: "The guys in Shawarma King were good enough to give me a tour and show me how everything works, you think the guys would be wary to allow someone behind the counter to see all their tricks, but there are no tricks. Every ingredient that goes into the kebab is freshly made on site every day."
Trying both the chicken and lamb wraps first to see which kebab he'd choose to eat, TodyWeAreMaking shared that he loved the pressing of the wrap against the chicken spit to seal it before toasting it.
Tasting the lamb first, he describes it as "unbelievable", but when he tries the chicken he is somehow more impressed, adding: "The caramelisation of the chicken that has been running on the spit is unbelievable. The garlic mayonnaise, the peppers, the freshness of the wrap... this is easily one of the best kebabs I've ever had in my life. Phenomenal. I have to have another bite, that is genuinely one of the nicest things I've ever eaten."
Giving the lamb a 9.6/10 he then awards the chicken a perfect score – 10/10.
There you have it!
