Glasgow's Manhattan-inspired cocktail bar and restaurant relaunches with summer menu

Summer is right around the corner as we fast approach the end of May, even if the weather in Glasgow hasn't quite caught up yet.

But not to worry! 63rd + 1st Glasgow is set to embrace all things summery with their new seasonal cocktail and small plates menu - meaning that we can embrace that summer feeling regardless of whether the sun is shining.

After launching last year, 63rd+1st has established itself as a popular cocktail bar in the heart of the city centre. Located just a stone's throw from Glasgow Central, the bar took over the former Italian eatery Gusto on Bothwell Street.

The decor and atmosphere have a distinctly NYC vibe and the venue seamlessly transforms as the day turns into the night making it the perfect place to enjoy a morning coffee, one of their infamous “Boozy” brunches, or a catch up with friends on a bustling Friday or Saturday night.

But as we head into summer, the venue has today relaunched their menu - and we can reveal the details of their new cocktail and food menu.

Let's start with the drinks - even if you're not jetting off for a vacation, one sip of the Watermelon and Coconut Daiquiris or Lychee Martinis will instantly transport you to hotter climates.

Or for those who like a kick with their cocktail, try the Picante Sour - all expertly shaken and poured by their team of in house mixologists. Also on the newly curated cocktail menu is a bespoke Spritz offering which include the Sicilian Spritz with a zing of Limoncello or the Amalfi Coast Spritz, with its distinctive orange citrus kick - because who needs to fly to Italy anyway?

Not to be overlooked, the new Summer Small Plates menu includes the perfect pairings for the cocktails and includes delicious small bites such as The Charred Padron Peppers and Romesco, the signature 63rd Pretzels with Melted Cheese dip in a nod to their New York roots, Lobster and Thermador Shrimp Rolls and Spiced Cauliflower Buffalo Wings.

The venue is also set to reveal a new summer installation on their summer drinks terrace and a new Jubilee cocktail menu that will be revealed next week in time for the Jubilee Bank Holiday weekend.

Director Graeme Nesbitt said: “We are really encouraged by the footfall in 63rd + 1st Glasgow and there is a great feeling in the city as we head into summer, our guests want to celebrate, eat, drink and be merry! And it's wonderful to see and be a part of after the past couple of years.

"We have decided to relaunch for summer with a newly curated food and drink menu that is designed to be shared in a fun, chic and safe environment.

"We will be offering a new ‘sharers’ cocktail menu which we know is going to be a hit with our Glasgow customers who love to enjoy themselves and celebrate in style.”
