Glasgow's M8 'restricted' due to ongoing emergency incident

GLASGOW'S M8 motorway is currently 'restricted' amid an ongoing emergency incident.

Traffic Scotland has said one lane of the road's westbound carriageway at Junction 17 (St George's Cross) is 'restricted' due to a collision.

Drivers are being urged to approach the area with caution. It is unknown how many vehicles have been involved in the crash or if anyone has been injured.

A spokesperson for Traffic Scotland said: "M8 - J17.

"One lane is restricted on the westbound carriageway due to a road traffic incident.

"Drivers are advised to use caution on approach."

Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
