Glasgow's Lewis Capaldi announces Netflix documentary 'How I'm Feeling Now'

Lewis Capaldi is set to release his very own Netflix documentary, with the singer and songwriter taking to social media to announce the big news.

In the announcement video, the Glasgow-born singer can be seen dressing up as iconic characters from the streaming services most popular shows including Tiger King, Wednesday and Squid Game. The 'Forget Me' singer ended the clip by telling fans his 'How I'm Feeling Now' is set to air in a matter of weeks.

Speaking at the end of the video, back in his usual clothing, Lewis said: "My Netflix documentary 'How I'm Feeling Now; comes out on April 5. I hope you enjoy it."

Directed by BAFTA winner Joe Pearlman, the all-access film sees Lewis Capaldi at a pivotal moment in his career as he returns to his roots after achieving global success, attempting to reconnect with his old life and the family and friends he left behind.

Four years in the making and following five back-to-back sold out global headline tours, screaming fans and history making chart success, the singer-songwriter somewhat dizzyingly finds himself back at his parent’s house in West Lothian to begin work on his highly-anticipated second album.

The film capture's Capaldi’s defining year, as he struggles to balance the familiarity of home, normality and all he’s ever known, with life as one of the biggest stars on the planet, gleaning an intimate portrait of his unique character, hopes and fears in his own words.

Speaking about the upcoming release Lewis Capaldi said: “I’m pretty terrified for people to see this documentary if I’m quite honest, but I’m also really proud of it. I hope you enjoy it."

The special, raw and honest feature length music documentary arrives ahead of his highly anticipated second album Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent which is due out on May 19.

The official Netflix account also tweeted the video captioning it: "A big welcome to a new Netflix icon... @LewisCapaldi

"Lewis Capaldi: How I'm Feeling Now, coming to Netflix 5 April" followed by a Scottish flag emoji.

And with an army of his fans having wanted a documentary after his collaboration with former One Direction star, Niall Horan on his own documentary, Niall Horan’s Homecoming: The Road to Mullingar with Lewis Capaldi, it's clear this is going to be yet another hit for the Scots man.

You can set a reminder for the show by going to the Netflix website with the streaming service teasing what's to come.
