Glasgow's OVO Hydro has issued a statement after fans were left fuming over "chaotic" and "long queues" at a gig at the venue.
Concertgoers expressed their anger following Fontaines DC show at the venue on Wednesday, December 4.
Now, the SEC has said they always "do their best to ensure a quick entry" to events for guests.
However, at Fontaines DC gig on Wednesday evening they "had some challenges with queues".
The venue claimed part of it was due to a "large portion of the crowd" arriving later than anticipated'.
We reported how one furious fan claimed they were stuck in the queue for the show outside the venue at 9.10pm and due to this missed the band's first few songs.
At 8.45pm, another disgruntled concertgoer revealed they were left "stood in the p**hing rain for well over half an hour" as they tried to enter the venue.
Ahead of the show in the city, the OVO Hydro revealed doors for the concert were set to open at 6.30pm and the event was planned to start at 7.50pm and finish at 10.30pm.
A spokesperson for the SEC said: “We always do our best to ensure a quick entry process for guests.
"At last night’s Fontaines DC event we had some challenges with queues.
"This was in part due to a large portion of the crowd arriving later than anticipated, which we suspect was partly down to the bad weather.
"We redeployed staff to speed up entry and the Fontaines delayed performance to ensure as many fans were in as possible.”
