Glasgow's Big Feed moving to permanent new home in the city

After six years of serving up some of Scotland's best street food in Glasgow's southside, Big Feed is on the move to a permanent new spot that will see it open seven days a week, every week.

Moving from their current warehouse location in Govan close to the BBC building, they'll now be joining Golf It! the brand-new golf and family entertainment venue set to open this summer in Hogganfield Park.

The team at Big Feed say the venue will now be housed in a "gorgeous purpose-built hub", complete with indoor seating, massive screens, a fire pit and a 200-seater garden.

They added that as well as the top array of street food vendors, the entertainment on offer is also super-sized, with a children’s adventure golf, park golf, a double-decker driving range and even virtual golf being added to Big Feed’s usual array of DJs, singers, face-painters, balloon-twisters and more.

Big Feed founder, Jonathan Stipanovsky, told Glasgow Live: “We are very excited to reveal we are making massive changes – this is Big Feed but in a bigger, better new format.

“We are going to have our own full-time presence at Golf It!, a purpose-built new facility which is going to be the ultimate family attraction in Scotland this year and it’s just 15 minutes drive from our old venue.

“All your favourite street food will be on offer in our indoor food zone, with lots of seating and so much more. There’s a lovely outdoor area for when the sun shines and so, so much to do for families and for everyone.

“It really is an incredible move for us – we’re excited to serve up your favourite food all day, every day, plus we will still be bringing our traders to the biggest and best events all over Scotland."

The move sees Big Feed leave the warehouse they rented for their monthly street food markets after six years - but all is not lost for locals in the Govan area, as Jonathan explained: “We have a few things up our sleeve – keep an eye on Big Feed socials for updates but we are planning a few pop-ups to keep our followers fed around the Govan area too.

“Thank you to our landlords at the warehouse, Glasgow The Caring City, but after six years changes to the venue’s facilities combined with the amazing opportunity at Golf It! meant it was time for us to move on. We wish them all the best in the future.”

Open to people of all skill levels, Golf It! is a brand-new golf and entertainment venue designed for everyone to enjoy.

GM at Golf It!, Russ Smith, said: “We are extremely excited about working with Big Feed, who will be a driving force in providing incredible street food and entertainment for everyone who visits Golf It!

"Having the ability to offer such a wide and varied range of food and drink experiences will stand us apart and make sure that every time you visit Golf It! there is something new to get involved in. We’re excited to welcome Big Feed’s followers to their new home when we open this summer.”
