Glaswegians have been dining out on delicious Indian food for decades.
We can safely say we are one of the curry capitals of the world, thanks to the huge influence of Indian cuisine across our city.
Famously, one of the UK's most popular dishes was born right here in Glasgow, with the Tikka Masala 'accidentally' finding its way onto our menus.
Everyone has their favourite Indian - we're certainly spoilt for choice. Whether it's the local neighbourhood takeaway or a higher end restaurant in the city centre or west end, come a Friday night, many of us are crying out for a spicy curry and a pint after a hard work week.

And according to TripAdvisor, Glasgow's number one rated Indian restaurant is an eatery many might not of heard of, tucked away behind the St Enoch Centre on Howard Street.
With an incredible 385 'excellent' reviews out of 412, Madras Cafe is clearly much loved by its customers, with the 'little gem' considered the third best restaurant in the whole of Glasgow by the ratings site.
Owners describe the food spot as 'a modern Indian restaurant offering freshly cooked, healthy food and classic Indian dishes with a modern twist', adding: 'We offer authentic Indian Street Food and use freshly local produce and the finest quality exotic spices'.
With a menu including traditional Indian staples such as pakora, butter chicken, lamb madras and garlic chilli chicken, diners have found the food to be 'flawless' - it will perhaps come as no surprise then the Glasgow restaurant was nominated for a British Curry Award last year.
