Today marks International Doughnut Day (June 2) and with this in mind, it got us thinking about the best places in Glasgow to pick up some of the delicious sweet treats.
There's not really an excuse needed to eat one - or even two or three, we won't judge - and whether you opt for a filled or glazed one - you can't go wrong with the soft and fluffy creations.
Luckily, there are lots of options here in Glasgow all whilst supporting local and helping them thrive.

So with there being a national day dedicated to the sweet treats, here are the places in Glasgow you can pick up some.
Where is the best doughnuts in Glasgow?
Tantrum Doughnuts - south side, west end and city centre
Arguably the most well-known place to get your fix in Glasgow is the iconic Tantrum Doughnuts.
If you're craving some - and let's be honest nobody would dare turn down a box - you can find them in the city centre just by Central Station, in the south side on Minard Road just by Queen's Park, as well as on Old Dumbarton Road in the west end ideally located by Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum.
But not so shockingly, these tend to sell out pretty fast so you had better get your orders in sooner rather than later.
Doh Doughnuts - east end
Fresh handmade doughnuts are calling our names and it would be rude not to - especially with a new spot having landed on the scene.
Opening up right by the iconic Shawarma King, the pair behind the venture supplies some of Glasgow's top coffee shop with their treats - and strangely, the decision to start this whole doughnut empire arrived after Lisa, who was working as a chef at the time, was given the wrong bag of flour.
You can read all about their story - and how they fared our taste test below.

Eusebi Deli - west end
Back by popular demand, the much-loved Glasgow eatery is selling a Bombolone Box - a selection of four mouth-watering Italian-filled doughnuts. Made fresh in their bakery early each morning, why wouldn't you go for it.
When in the west end, after all...
Danny's Do-Nuts (Barras) - east end
The east end is truly a hidden gem when it comes to Glasgow's food scene - and there's one family-run hidden gem that many shockingly still don't know about.
Make your way down to the entrance of the Barras by London Road - just a short distance from Trongate and the city centre - and you'll find the best hot doughnuts in town.
Starting from £3 with options including plain, sugar and Nutella, there's an option for everyone.
And what's better than hot sweet treats in one hand, and fresh coffee in the other? And whilst you're there you may as well have a stroll around the markets during the weekend.
Pick up 4 for £3 or 6 for £3.50 and thank us later.
Grain and Grind - south side, west end and east end
If you want some class coffee and a doughnut, then head down to Grain and Grind with the Glasgow coffee shop having several locations throughout the city including Old Dumbarton Road - just like Tantrum - as well as several in the south side of the city.
An excuse to get some fresh air, soak up some sun and take a doughnut back to Queen's Park. A good day out we reckon.
