There are many things to do in Glasgow whether it's raining or glorious sunshine.
And one thing you can do no matter what the weather is have dinner and drinks with friends, family or just treat yourself.
Glasgow's food scene is nothing short of excellent and the same goes for our drinks, with plenty of places around the city to grab a cocktail or two.

So if you want to escape the rain or take advantage of the sun and sit outside sipping cocktails, here are just a few places you can go - in no particular order.
Where is the best place in Glasgow to get a cocktail?
1. Mikaku - city centre
The authentic Japanese Izakaya Restaurant and Cocktail Bar is one that you need to visit. It differs from most in that each cocktail has it's own category which is said to be "unlike anything Glasgow has ever seen".
“The Balance Menu” is designed around the five taste sensations of current flavour science: sweet, sour, salty, bitter, and Umami. It consists of 19 cocktails that are guaranteed to take cocktail lovers on an exciting flavour journey.
Not only that, their food and décor transports you away from the city centre to the heart of Japan. Get it on your list.

2. The Gate - east end
Venture from the city centre to the east end by the iconic Barrowland Ballroom and you'll find yourself at The Gate.
On their website the venue states that they have a "big focus on Scottish brands with over 160 whiskies, hand selected to showcase the diverse flavour profiles of our national drink, alongside an expanding selection of 30 gins as well as range of craft beers and wine."
There are currently 12 drinks to chose from on their menu which changes every few months from smokey and earthy cocktails to floral and dry as well as crisp and refreshing - and lots more - there are several to get your taste buds going.
3. Fayre Play - south side
Located in Glasgow with one soon coming to Edinburgh, this is a perfect place to unwind with a few pals over food, drinks and a game or two with it being Scotland’s first Funfair Games experience for adults.
Their cocktail menu offers a selection of fun and tasty drinks from their creative and nostalgic sweet-topped cocktails to the classics with drinks being served with candyfloss, popping candy and a rainbow star lollipop.
4. 63rd + 1st - city centre
The menu is inspired by the street food scene in Manhattan with classic cocktails and eclectic dishes from steak and seafood to salads, pizzettas and burgers.
The concept is part of TGI Fridays UK and is named after the New York street that the iconic brand hails from. And with it being ideally located in the city centre. it maybe isn't one you should be leaving off your list.
5. Banana Moon - west end
Banana Moon is the perfect place to relax with friends, listen to vinyl records and grab a quirky cocktail.
Located on Great Western Road, many people were worried after it shut with no signs of reopening however thankfully they made a come back and after making some changes, they're once again seeing many locals visit to soak up the sun and quench their thirst.
The west end venue basks in sunlight from morning until night and has one of the largest outdoor areas in the area. They have also just launched a 4pm DJ set on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday so not only can you enjoy the weather, it's a great atmosphere. It's the perfect place to kick off your weekend.
Oh, and not to forget that they are also the official home of the world's first alcoholic oat milk beverage too, Panther Milk. What's not to love?
