Politicians representing Glasgow earned a massive £3.5million in a single year.
City councillors and elected member of the Scottish and the UK parliaments raked in the huge pay packet between them, with First Minister Nicola Sturgeon the highest paid from the public purse.
Eight MPs represent the city with an average wage of £84,144, as of April last year.

Meanwhile their colleagues Glasgow colleagues at Holyrood earn a basic salary of £66,662, but for those carrying additional ministerial responsibility this jumps significantly.

Ms Sturgeon commands a salary of £163,229, with Cabinet Secretary for Health and Social Care Humza Yousaf on £116,759.
Scottish Greens Co-Leader Patrick Harvie receives £98,045 for his position as Minister for Zero Carbon Buildings, Active Travel and Tenants' Rights. Ivan McKee, who represents Glasgow Provan, also receives the same salary as Minister for Business, Trade, Tourism and Enterprise.
Over at City Chambers 85 elected councillors all earn a basic wage of £19,571, but those with positions of special responsibility earn a great deal more.
Council leader Susan Aitken's wage bill for the last year comes in at £58,719, deputy leader, SNP Councillor Ricky Bell - who is also city treasurer and convenor for final inclusion - on £43,132. Earning the same is party colleague Councillor Greg Hepburn as business manager and convenor for open government.
Lord Provost Jacqueline McLaren, SNP, gets £44,039 a year, while depute Lord Provost Christy Mearns, Greens, earns £32,960
Twenty three “senior” councillors earn £735,054 between them, that total excludes the council leader and Lord Provosts’ allowances.
Six of the senior councillors are on £36,969, they include chair of Glasgow Life and convenor for culture sport and international relations SNP councillor Annette Christie and Allan Casey, convenor for workforce and homelessness and addiction services.
Another 14 councillors, including committee chairs and leaders of the opposition get an allowance of £28,144 each.
