Glasgow road blocked by badly damaged car 24-hours after crash

A badly damaged car has been left blocking a busy city street 24 hour after it was involved in collision.

Emergency services were called to High Street around 9am on Tuesday morning after a two-car crash which led to a car hitting a building near Ingram Street.

High Street between Ingram Street and Argyle Street was closed to traffic following the incident but reopened a short time later. One of the damaged cars remains on the road covered in police tape, blocking the left hand lane of Ingram Street.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 9am on Wednesday, December 14, police were called to a two-vehicle, non-injury road crash on High Street, Glasgow.

"One of the vehicles struck a building on the northbound side of the road near Ingram Street. No structural damage to the premises, however, building control has been advised.

"High Street, between Ingram Street and Argyle Street, was closed for a short time. It is now fully open.

"Enquiries into the cause of the crash are continuing."
