Another independent business bites the dust as Merchant City's Steak, Cattle and Roll announce it is closing due to "significant difficulties".

"The past couple of years have been a challenging time for us, with the pandemic and Brexit causing significant difficulties that sadly we were unable to overcome.

"We want to take this opportunity to thank our amazing employees, both past and present, who have played an integral role in making our business what it is today.

"Without their hard work, dedication and passion, we would not have been able to provide the level of service and quality that we are known for.

"To our customers: we want to thank you for your loyal support over the years. It has been an absolute pleasure to serve you and be part of your dining experiences.

"We will always cherish the memories and relationships we have formed with our customers.

"We hope that you will continue to support and appreciate the amazing local businesses that remain open during these difficult times. Your support means everything to small businesses like ours.

"Once again, thank you for your understanding and support. It has been an honour to serve you these past few years."
