Police have released CCTV images of two men they want to speak to in relation to a serious assault at a city centre pub.

The incident unfolded inside The Maltman pub on Renfield Street on Saturday, February 5.

A 58-year-old man was attacked around 9pm on the night and officers have now released images of two men they believe can help with their investigation.

One man is described as white, aged in his 50s, of medium build with short, dark hair, shaved at the back and sides. He was wearing a grey polo shirt with a navy blue collar and dark coloured jeans.

Detective Constable Neil Bonsor, of Greater Glasgow CID, said: “As part of the investigation we are eager to identify the two men in the CCTV images and would urge them both, or anyone who recognises them, to get in touch with police immediately.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact CID at Stewart Street Police office via 101, quoting incident number 3406 of Satruday, 5 February, 2022. Alternatively, calls can be made to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where anonymity can be maintained.
