Glasgow pub evacuated after vape smoker triggers fire alarm with sly puff

A Glasgow west end pub was evacuated after a vape smoker having a sly puff inside triggered the fire alarm.

Fire crews raced to Bag o' Nails on Dumbarton Road in the Partick area after the alarm was raised on Thursday evening.

One disgruntled pubgoer took to Twitter to share their frustration about having to leave the pub due to the incident.

They tweeted a photo of fire crews entering the pub along with the caption: "Some m*********** c*** set off an alarm with a vape, for f**** sake!"

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) confirmed to Glasgow Live that they were called to the Partick pub and that it turned out to be a false alarm.

A SFRS spokeswoman said: " We received a call on Thursday July 14 at 18:04hrs which turned out to be a false alarm."
