The housing market across the UK is staying pretty pricy at the moment and Glasgow is no exception.
According to Rightmove, properties in Glasgow had an average price of £206,179 over the last year.
In addition, overall sold prices in the city across the last year were up by six per cent on the previous year and 23 per cent down on the 2006 peak of £267,486.

Areas in Glasgow such as the southside and west end are still amongst the most popular places with the locations having an average selling price of £173,084 and £254,347, respectively.
So with many people looking to buy and sell, we thought we would take a look at what is on offer in the city centre for around £1 million and comparing it to what we could buy in the Capital for the same price.
Here's what we discovered...
Glasgow
Looking at a lovely property in the city, we found one that comes with four bedrooms, three bathrooms and four receptions.
The four thousand square foot property is on the market for a fixed price of just under one million coming in at £910,000.
The property is named 'The Willow' and is a new build End Terraced Townhouse within The Glades development forming just one of 12 luxury homes.
Spanning over four floors, the property located close to the city - and some of the best cafes and restaurants - features some pretty impressive rooms boasting a cinema room with a bar as well as a gym and a double garage.
If you like to relax, you'll be glad to know the bathrooms are listed as "luxury" making for a perfect place to unwind after a long week or day at work.
According to Zoopla, "the "impeccably finished" property are built with "detailed Sandstone creating a traditional feel whilst offering modern contemporary living within.

Edinburgh
Another new home that will surely capture anyone's attention is located in a desirable area of the Capital situated in the parklands of Donaldson's estate, an oasis of green within Edinburgh's celebrated UNESCO World Heritage site.
Named 'The Crescent', the location is said to be perfect with Rightmove stating it's the place to be if you want to "enjoy every aspect of its [Edinburgh's] high life."
The property comes with two bedrooms, one bathroom and boasts a stunning style with large windows allowing plenty of natural daylight in.
Each of the rooms are clean, bright and spacious and when the sun comes out, no matter what room you're in there will be plenty of sunshine beaming through.
According to Rightmove, the flat is an "ultimate in open plan living" which boasts "spectacular views across the beautifully landscaped grounds of the capital's iconic Donaldson estate.

Both properties are stunning however location wise we may have to say that Edinburgh takes the crown especially with it having a balcony. Though with the Glasgow home also featuring a balcony as well as a gym as well as a cinema and bar, we may have to stay put in the city.
