According to presenters Kirstie and Phil, property prices in the city have been driven up by more than 13 per cent over the last year. This is more than the UK average of 10.2 per cent.

So with prices soaring, what do the most expensive and cheapest homes in the city look like? Here's what we came across.

Glasgow's most expensive home

Located in Silverwells Crescent, Bothwell, this property boats a staggering six bedrooms. It also offers four bathrooms and covers 3,412 square feet.

This property is currently on the market for offers over £1,275,000.

Spanning two floors, it features two en-suits, a formal dining room, lounge and separate living room as well as a modern fitted kitchen and dining area.

And if that isn't enough, it also boasts a large heated indoor swimming pool a swell as a sauna.

So if you need to unwind after a hard day at work, what could be better than your very own private pool and sauna.

After you have finished relaxing, you can retreat to your large private and enclosed garden. Alternatively, you can relax on your balcony to the master bedroom.

One Lanarkshire property also boasts not one, but two balconies with the home located just off the banks of the River Clyde.

So with the city's most expensive home looking impressive, what can we expect at the other end of the scale?

At the other end of the property price market is a home located on Cambuslang Road.

This property is currently on the market for offers over £37,500.

This one bedroom flat was added to the market not long ago and is located close to the River Clyde. Perfect for summer walks with the UK now experiencing a heatwave.

The bright studio flat, set on the second floor of the traditional tenement building, comes with double glazing, a secure entry system as well as great transport links to the city centre and beyond.

Just off Farme Cross, this flat, according to Rightmove, enjoys a "clean communal close with secure entry and back court.

"Inside, the simple layout starts with a reception hallway with built-in storage, all neutrally decorated and clean throughout with carpeting in the reception areas."

It is also located near Farme Cross. (Rightmove.)

They add: "The main room to the front acts as the lounge, with bed recess and kitchen area, with outstanding potential for a funky reconfiguration and clever development to create a true all-in-one living space.

The kitchen area is marked with a threshold to vinyl flooring and base mounted units, with further built-in storage, electric hob and good work space, with a front outlook from the washing up."
