Glasgow property: Inside the cheapest 1 bedroom flats to rent in the city

If you are looking to move home, you may be struggling to find a place you can afford amid the worsening cost of living crisis.

For many households, owning property is out of the question, and so renting is the only option available.

While renting a flat in Glasgow is significantly less expensive than in Edinburgh, in general it still isn't cheap.

There are plenty of good deals to be found though in every part of the city.

To help you find the perfect flat, we took to Rightmove and rounded up the cheapest one-bedroom properties in each Glasgow neighbourhood.

City Centre

Considering its ideal location in the city centre, £475 isn't a bad price for this flat at all. Looking inside, the unfurnished property offers plenty of space too. It even comes with double glazed windows and gorgeous wood-effect laminate flooring.

East End

This East End property looks gorgeous from the outside, and while the interior isn't quite as attractive, it still has plenty to offer. With light wood furniture and panelling scattered throughout, the flat gives off a unique 70s feel that will definitely appeal to some. At a staggeringly cheap £350 a month, it's also tied for the cheapest property on this list.

This Southside property might not be all that much to look at from the outside, but at just £350 a month you can't really complain. As expected, the West End flat is the most expensive property on this list, but that's the price you pay for living in the area. It's also the only apartment here that's fully furnished, so could work out cheaper than the others if you don't already have your own furniture.
