Glasgow Primark getting new Greggs collection early ahead of launch

A new Primark and Greggs collaborative collection is set to launch next month, and Glasgow shoppers will be able to pick it up early.

The two retail giants previously launched a limited edition collaborative collection consisting of 11 products. It was so popular that it almost immediately sold out, with the items soon being put up on eBay for inflated prices.

Now, the two are back with a brand new 21-piece festival-themed collab, consisting of items such as cycle shorts, bodysuits, basketball jerseys, varsity jackets, bumbags, sliders, and trainers. There will also be bucket hats and underwear on offer.

The full collection will launch nationwide on August 5, but shoppers in certain cities — including Glasgow — will get access to it early. This is due to the 'Snackfest' bus that will be visiting locations throughout the UK to celebrate the new products.

The bus will be heading to Glasgow's Argyle Street Primark on Tuesday, August 5, between 11am and 5pm. This will give Scottish shoppers the chance to pick up some of the products early and ensure they do not miss out.

Taking to its official Facebook account, Primark wrote: "Can you guess our Snackfest locations? We’re back with our pals Greggs to bring you a fresh, festival-ready collection (YES - the bucket hat is back!) in UK Primark stores next week.

"Fancy getting your hands on the collection early? We’re on the road this week with some very special guests to give you a first look and chance to shop the range!"

Jermaine Lapwood, Head of Innovation and Future Trends at Primark, said: “I believe the best partnerships in fashion are those that are blindingly obvious but never boring or predictable. In a world of collaborations, it is important that we stand out and be different.

"As part of this drop, for the first time in Primark history we are taking the collection on the road and fans will be able to get early access to our own ‘SNACKFEST’ tour bus which will pop up across the UK. Keep a look out for some top secret special guest performances and fun competitions.”

Hannah Squirrell, Customer Director at Greggs, said: “The reaction to our first official Greggs clothing collection was incredible and sold out even faster than we anticipated. We’re excited to team up with Primark once again to deliver more fun and unique pieces that Greggs fans will wear with pride across the summer and beyond”.
