Glasgow bomb threat: Police swarm Parkhead Tesco store amid Dennistoun explosive scare

Police have descended on a Tesco store in Glasgow tonight following reports of a 'bomb scare' in Dennistoun.

Scores of officers from Police Scotland flooded the Tesco Extra store in the Forge Retail Park this evening.

A social media video seen by Glasgow Live shows officers arriving at the supermarket and running inside as shouts of 'move' are overheard.

A police helicopter can also be heard above.

It comes as police and EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) remain in nearby Dennistoun following the report of a suspicious package being found within a premises on Milnbank Street, Glasgow.

A cordon remains in place there and Alexandra Parade remains closed to traffic.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said:"Officers are currently in attendance at the Forge Retail Park as part of an ongoing police enquiry. No further detail at this time."
