A 30-year-old man has been arrested after it's claimed a teenage girl was sexually assaulted in the west end of the city at the weekend.
Police confirmed the investigation into a reported attack close to Ashton Lane on Saturday is continuing.
They closed down part of the area around the busy street yesterday morning as they carried out enquiries, the Daily Record reports.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Officers received a report of the sexual assault of an 18-year-old woman.
"A 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and release pending further enquiries.
"Enquiries into the incident are ongoing."
