A pensioner caught with 10,000 street Valium tablets at his home walked free from court today.
Colin Horsfall, 67, was snared by police at the flat in Glasgow's Cathcart on September 30, 2020.
Horsfall pointed blame at his son - currently serving a seven-year drugs sentence - who was living there at the time.
But, he pled guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court to being concerned in the supply of etizolam.
Sheriff Paul Crozier ordered Horsfall to do 180 hours of unpaid work and put him under supervision for 18 months.
He was also tagged for five months keeping him indoors between 8pm and 7am.
The court heard officers attended the property on an unrelated matter.
Horsfall was found asleep in the bedroom and woken up to provide details.

Prosecutor Emma Baker said: "The police at this time observed two large silver zip lock bags in open view on the bedroom unit, containing a large quantity of white powder."
Horsfall was arrested and taken to a police station while a further search was carried out on the property.
Officers recovered drug making paraphernalia from the hall cupboard including rubber gloves, an electronic print machine and a respiratory mask.
Scales, bags and pouches were found on the living room floor.
Miss Baker said: "The tablets were positively identified as etizolam.
"There was a total value of £1,800 for the approximately 10,000 tablets that were recovered."
Horsfall gave a no comment interview to police but stated his fingerprints may be on items "due to possibly moving them".
Paul Mullen, defending, told the court that the retired electrician was living with his now deceased mother at the time while his son stayed at his property.
The lawyer added: "He accepts he allowed his home to be used didn't supply the drugs to others."
