Glasgow's Old Firm derby could be hit with lightning strikes as Met Office forecasters expect thunderstorms to roll in.
The game kicks off at Parkhead at 12.30pm on Saturday. A yellow weather warning is in place from Friday south of Glasgow, in areas such as Dumfries and Galloway, the Ayrshire coast and parts of Argyll.
But Glasgow will not escape treacherous conditions as forecasters expect thunder and lightning to hit the city in time for kick off at Celtic Park. Stormy weather hits Northern Ireland first before crossing over to Scotland.
The yellow weather warning is in place for 24 hours, at this stage, reports the Scottish Daily Express. Some unlucky spots across the country could be hit by 80 to 100mm (up to four inches) sparking a flood danger, damage to buildings and possible power cuts.

Travel could be affected, with thousands of fans travelling from Northern Ireland and Ireland through the affected area for the big match at Celtic Park.
The warning states: "There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings. There is a small chance of fast flowing or deep floodwater causing danger to life.
"Where flooding occurs, there is a slight chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services. Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.
"There is a small chance that some communities will become cut off by flooded roads. There is a slight chance of power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses."
Clare Nasir, a Met Office meteorologist, said: "With the change of the month and a change of a season, we are seeing a change in our weather. Certainly, there is some heavy rain around through the weekend, and also some stronger winds.
"The rain arrives through the early hours of Saturday morning. That’s when a Met Office rain warning will be in force for the south west of Scotland.
"Bands of rain will continue to migrate their way north eastwards through Saturday and into Sunday. There will be stronger winds through the weekend, heavy bursts of rain particularly in the west.
"No-one will be immune to that wet weather and it’s in the west where we will see the highest rainfall totals through the weekend. And, into next week, it's pretty much a s similar picture."
This is the first meeting of the Glasgow giants this season. The game comes just a few days before Celtic host European champions Real Madrid and Gio van Bronckhorst’s men travel to Amsterdam to play Ajax, also in the Champions League.
