Glasgow man threatened with knife and robbed while walking through city underpass

Police are appealing for information after a man was robbed in Govan by two men after being threatened with a knife.

The "frightening" incident took place around 8.45am on Wednesday morning when the man was walking through the underpass near Burghead Drive.

The 54-year-old man was approached by two men wearing dark-coloured clothing, who threatened him with a knife and demanded money. They made off with the victim’s wallet containing a two-figure sum of cash.

Constable George Hardie from Helen Street Police Station said: “This was a frightening experience for this man who received minor injuries but did not require medical treatment. He is badly shaken as a result of this robbery.

“This is a busy area and I would urge anyone who witnessed this incident or has information that will help this investigation to contact us.

"If you saw two men acting suspiciously in the area on Wednesday morning please contact us through 101 with incident number 0555 of 20 April.”
