The injured man was assisted at the scene by a member of the public and officers are keen to speak to the alleged attacker.

Police Constable Reece Paterson-Hogg said: “Despite extensive enquiries, we have been unable to track down the person responsible for this attack.

“We are appealing for anyone who was in the area or who may have dash-cam footage from Eglinton Street around this time.

“Think back, were you in this area and did you see anything unusual around this time?"

Anyone with information is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 3564 of 30 November, 2022. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
