Glasgow kebab shop's savage reviews as diners hit out at 'forkfuls of euthanasia'

A Glasgow kebab shop has been on the end of a series of scathing reviews, with one person branding their food as 'forkfuls of euthanasia' - and the owner has hit back to call customers a 'fata*se' and a 'pillok', while telling them they're 'barred'.

Diners have taken to travel review website TripAdvisor and Google Reviews to leave savage feedback for the city centre's Best Kebab, with some customers demanding the Dundas Street eatery changes its name.

With a shocking 1.5 star rating, of the 80 reviews left on the site, 67 people have given the kebab shop a 'terrible' 1 out of 5 ranking.

According to TripAdvisor, it finds itself in 252nd place out of 252 'quick bite' restaurants in the city.

Meanwhile, Google reviews give Best Kebab 1.9 out of 5.

Best Kebab is no stranger to criticism. In November 2019, we reported on the food spot hitting back with a 'vile and unprofessional' response to an unflattering review.

Then, the owner responded "Your gaff is manky yet you don't see me complaining about your maw's cooking after I pump her, barred!".

And it appears the owner has continued to react to the unwanted feedback in similarly brazen fashion.

Responding to a recent review on Google, the owner called one customer a 'fata*se', branded another a 'pillok', while also telling a diner 'I gave you a mouth fulla fud' and 'barring' others.

One person's ironic Google review read: '"Best Kebab is happy to announce we have won Worst Restaurant in Scotland for the 9th consecutive year!

"We thank our one-time customers and promise to continue exploiting our prime location while serving rotten, expired food and overcharging every time you aren't looking".

The owner clapped back to say: 'Shup up fata*se!'.

And although the Best Kebab team haven't appeared to respond to any recent customers on TripAdvisor, the angry reviews keep coming there too.

One person said: "A large Sarbeni with doner “meat”. Meat they called it. I liked to call it forkfuls of euthanasia.

"I’ll be honest I knew what I was getting myself into. It’s a risky game eating here. I rolled the dice and lost. I couldn’t taste the cholera on behalf of the homemade chilli sauce . Which was part liquidised boot cleaner and part fermenting raw cat food. I think."

Another commented: "I went and got a kebab from here last night on my way home from work. It wis dug food on two slices of bread.

"This was disgusting but if you struggle with constipation, I recommend Best Kebab. I spent four hours on the toilet."

Another clapback from the owner (Google)

One customer, describing their meal as 'the worst kebab they've ever had', said: "The grease congealed into a soup like vomit and sealed the bottom of the container.

"I’ve never tasted anything so vile and I’ve ate euro shopper meals

"If you want a cold dog meat soup this place is for you."

Several recent reviews have also hit out at the service of the staff, with one diner commenting: "Avoid at all cost. Really expensive and nasty tasting food.

"The man working there has no service in mind and acts very rude.

"Dirty, expensive and food at the lowest level."

Another person, who also brandished her food the 'worst kebab in Glasgow', said: "I was met with frankly the worst customer service.

"I've ever experienced charging more for my meal the stated on the menu and a rude persona.

"I will avoid this place the next time I'm in Glasgow centre. Learn some manners!"

And one person appears to have summed up the thoughts of many, calling on the owners to change the shop name, by saying "Absolutely honkin', rubbish kebab. I wanted to spew when looking at it.

"Change your shop name now. Gutted."
