A Green councillor stormed through to win the most first preference votes in a Glasgow West End ward - beating the SNP and Labour.
The Green party emerged the dominant force in Hillhead with Martha Wardrop re-elected in her strongest performance yet.
She claimed 2,507 first preference votes - equivalent to 36 per cent - demonstrating her increasing popularity with constituents.

In 2017, she got 25.63 per cent of the first preference votes.
Councillor Wardrop said the work she has carried out in the area gained her the confidence of voters as she has been “making a difference.”
The experienced politician who has been a councillor since 2007, said: “I have responded to all their concerns.”
Commenting on her result, she said: “This is good for woman in politics. It is good for Green politics.”
The SNP’s re-elected Ken Andrew got 1,984 first preference votes in Hillhead while Glasgow Labour’s Hanzala Malik winning 1,532.
Other top performances from the Green party in the city saw Holly Bruce win the highest number of first preference votes in Langside, which is SNP leader Susan Aitken’s ward.
New councillor Bruce came in with 3,173 first preference votes followed by Aitken re-elected with 2,899. Labour’s Stephen Docherty got 1,870 first preference votes followed by the SNP’s Leinster on 775.
The Langside first preference vote percentage breakdown was 32 per cent to the SNP, followed by nearly 28 per cent to the Greens with Labour in third at 26.7 per cent.
Across the city the Greens claimed 10 seats making gains in Southside Central, Newlands, Auldburn and Victoria Park.
