Glasgow's French food scene is coming along rather nicely with more places dedicated to the country's delicacies opening their doors.
And our city is set to get even luckier with a French bakery, named TheDorkyFrench (all one word), opening its doors just seconds from the city centre by Trongate.
Owner Marlène Mamia, who studied in Dundee and worked as a chef for five months in Soul Food Kitchen, gathered a huge following after she began making bakes due to missing the quality and freshness of the pastries she enjoyed in her home country.

In more good news, it's vegan meaning more people can enjoy the flaky and buttery delights that are croissants - you really can't beat them.
Marlène, who uses traditional French flours and premium ingredients for her bakes, previously told Glasgow Live her goal was to bring the quality and freshness of French bakery items to Glasgow, starting with those two traditional items: the croissant and the pain au chocolat.
She said: "The idea is to sell the experience of enjoying a quality viennoiserie for breakfast. My favourite thing to do in the morning is to dip a fresh pain au chocolat in a hot cup of black coffee."
The bakery is set to open its doors on Thursday, June 22, from 8am until 3pm. Opening hours run from Thursday until Saturday from these hours with Sunday operating from 9am until 4pm.
You can find them located at 39 Parnie Street, Glasgow, G1 5RJ. You can also keep up-to-date with them on Instagram.
