A number of Glasgow coffee shop owners are celebrating success today after landing top prizes at the 2022 Scottish Cafe Awards.
Over 200 of the country's cafe professionals gathered at the Glasgow Marriott Hotel on Monday night, to recognise and reward the best in the coffee industry. The awards, which are voted for by the public, aim to celebrate Scotland's breadth of talent and entrepreneurial spirit as the efforts and dedication of the specialists who invest in ensuring their customers always receive high-quality of beverages, food and snacks.
Many of the awards were split into local regions, including Glasgow, to ensure the diverse range of businesses from across Scotland are recognised 'for providing coffees with artistic presentations and unique flavours'. And coming out on top in the Best of Glasgow category is a city centre cafe known for its delicious cakes, grazing boards and service with a smile.

Caffe Calla, based on West George Street, this morning took to social media to celebrate their success.
A statement read: "We are absolutely over the moon to have won Best of Glasgow again and Highly Commended for Best Caffè Food. It's been a hard two years for hospitality and have had to diversity a lot and work every hour just to stay open.
"Well done to everyone who attended last night for still being here. Thank you to all of our Customers and everyone who voted for us we are completely overwhelmed we won Best of Glasgow in 2018 and now have it back."
Meanwhile, Dennistoun brunch favourite Scran picked up the Local Cafe of the Year prize, while Best Cafe Food went to Rawlings Love to Eat.

- FARM SHOP/CAFÉ OF THE YEAR: Edenmill Farm Shop
- GARDEN CENTRE CAFÉ OF THE YEAR: Rouken Glen Garden Centre
- LOCAL CAFÉ OF THE YEAR: Scran
- BEST LOVED CAFÉ OF THE YEAR SOUTH WEST: Smile Cafe
A Spokesperson for the Scottish Cafe Awards 2022, said: “Although on our third year, we are honoured by the fantastic response we have had from the public who was so keen to vote for their favourite cafés. The cafe industry has grown massively over the past years and we aimed to seek out, reward and thank those who have managed to make a real difference by introducing innovation in this industry.
