And while a rare occurrence in Glasgow, it seems like this won't be a one off with the next few days set to be sunny too.

People across the UK - including here in Glasgow - are now off for the Easter holidays with many having finished up last week on March 31. And with adults now off, people will be wanting to make the most of their time off.

Glasgow Easter weekend weather forecast - April 8 - April 9

April 8 - Saturday

The BBC have said that the first day of the Easter weekend is going to see highs of 15C and lows of 3C. The sun is set to peak out behind any clouds from 7am and stay out for hours until around 8pm making it a wonderful evening to get out and about.

There are sunny intervals predicted throughout the day with a gentle breeze keeping us cool - but the sun is sure to warm us all up with Glasgow hot spots such as Kelvingrove Park and Glasgow Green sure to see people making the most of the lovely weather.

April 9 - Sunday

Sunday is much the same with highs of 15C and lows of 8C. Just like the previous day, the sunny intervals will stay throughout much of the day predicted to start at around 7am with the sun staying out until 7pm.

Whist there is no rain on Saturday, there is rain which is set to begin at around 9pm on Sunday - but hopefully it shouldn't ruin any of your plans with the morning and afternoon set to remain dry.
