Glasgow east end development site goes up for sale

A prime area in the east end of Glasgow has been launched to the market by CBRE.

The Glasgow Gait site extends to 16.73 acres and currently comprises a large vacant site with the ability to accommodate a variety of uses, subject to planning.

It is being marketed for sale on behalf of Highland Properties Group.

Located on London Road, approximately 3.5 miles from the city centre, the surrounding area is predominantly commercial in all directions, with nearby occupiers including Wickes, The Range, Iceland and Jewsons.

The M74 motorway and the construction of the four-way motorway junction (2A) have improved connectivity to the area, with the junction recently adding a McDonalds, KFC, Costa Coffee, Starbucks and Premier Inn hotel.

Craig Semple, head of industrial and logistics at CBRE Scotland, said: “This is an excellent opportunity for development given its potential uses - we anticipate the site will be of interest to a wide range of parties.”
