Glasgow Duke Street crash as emergency services rush to scene amid mass brawl

Emergency services have rushed to an ongoing incident on Duke Street this evening.

A mass brawl erupted on the east end street ahead of the Celtic v Rangers clash at Parkhead Stadium.

The road was later closed in both direction due to a crash, Glasgow City Council confirmed.

Droves of revellers fought in Duke Street not long before 7pm on Wednesday, the Daily Record reports.

The fight broke out when punters were seen pouring out of pub, The Alexandra and spilling down to The Crown Creighton.

Police Scotland confirmed they were in attendance at an ongoing incident on the street.

A statement from the council's Traffic Control and Management team reads: "Due to an RTA, Duke Street is closed in both directions at Garfield Street. Emergency services are in attendance."

The road has since been reopened.
