Traffic is queueing on the M8 this evening due to a vehicle fire closing two lanes of the M8.
Drivers are being urged to approach the area with caution amid the car blaze, which took hold on the M8 westbound between Junctions 15 and 14 around 5:30pm.
Traffic Scotland has confirmed that emergency services are currently at the scene.

They issued an alert at 5:30pm which read: "Due to a vehicle fire lanes 1 and 2 (of 5) are currently closed on the M8 westbound between Junctions 15 and 14. Motorists are advised to use caution on approach."
Traffic information site INRIX have also issued an alert, which read: "Two lanes closed and queueing traffic due to vehicle fire on M8 Westbound near J14 B763 (Fruitmarket / Dennistoun)."
Lanes one and two (of five) are closed.
UPDATE: All lanes have reopened.
