Glasgow city centre store announces permanent closure after five years

A Glasgow city centre shop is to officially shut later this month as they share a closing down message with loyal customers.

The Zen Den is the city's first ever CBD lounge, specialising in Hemp-infused products which aid pain management.

The closing of the lounge comes not long after their closure for an upgrade, as they remained shut from March 7 to April 4th. Now, they have announced they will permanently close, with an 'everything must go' sale ahead of their closure.

The lounge announced their closure on Facebook saying: "Hi folks, after a few weeks of deliberation we have decided to close the shop permanently on May 19th. It has been a honour and such a blessing to have met and helped so many unique, caring people."

Gutted customers took to the comments: "Gonna miss my wee coffee and chit chat before my shift. Take care."

Another said: "Sorry you're having to close down. It's so hard to keep a shop with the energy price, train fares and the council fines for parking and entry to the city!

"Hope you can keep selling and spreading the word on your amazing CBD and mushroom products. Helping people naturally."

The Glasgow based company looked to aid those struggling with chronic pain and mental health issues. 49 year-old Christine Slaven said she used to feel like a "zombie" while suffering from anxiety and depression - but after taking six months worth of cannabis oil drops from The Zen Den, she is medication free and has "turned her life around".

Their products range from CBD oil to herbal teas, cakes and treats.

The Zen Den will close its doors for good on May 19 at 5pm. For more information visit here.
