A Glasgow city centre retail and residential development opportunity is coming to auction with a guide price of £800,000.
The eight-storey red sandstone building at the junction of Argyle Street and Miller Street has planning consent for a development of a ground floor retail unit with Class 3 use, together with 21 one-bed flats on the upper seven floors.
Neighbouring occupiers include Primark, Sainsbury's Local, Caffe Nero and TK Maxx, with Argyle Street Station is opposite the property.
Mhairi Archibald, a consultant at auctioneer Acuitus, commented: “The site at 50 Argyle Street is a prominent mixed use development that can offer substantial income from both the retail and residential elements.”
The auction will take place on 16 February, with bidding online, by telephone and by proxy.
The company is also auctioning off an industrial warehouse beside Aberdeen International Airport, with a guide price of around £1m.
The 1.36 acre freehold property comprises an industrial unit with an attached single storey office building that is solely let to Applus UK until 2025. The occupier is currently paying £195,000 annually in rent.
Situated in Dyce Industrial Park, on the north side of Wellheads Way, nearby occupiers include Wood Group PSN, Unity Well Integrity UK and Clear Well Energy.
John Mehtab, investment director with Acuitus, said: “Aberdeen has always been a centre of economic and business interests in Scotland, and we can expect significant investor interest in such a well located industrial asset.“
